I like the new plan. I have a request though: Don't apologize so much. You have a right to have stuff going on in your life. If you feel the need to do so, explain yourself and move on to the topics at hand. If someone wants to bicker about you "rambling on", they can do so themselves - that's just not your "job", so far we can speak of "jobs", since this is "only" a hobby for you.
I found the constant reminders of how much time you had spent on "ranting and rambling" rather irritating, right along with the words of apology here and there.
Know that I'll be with this podcast 'til the very end, but since you asked for input and a conversation, there you go.

John, just wanted to wish you luck with school and extend my sympathies. I went back into a graduate program after being out of school for 6 years, and it was difficult to get back into that school routine. The biggest challenge for me was having homework and a ton of (largely boring)reading to do. I was used to a 9 to 5 day where the evening was completely mine, and then all of a sudden I had work to do in the evening, too!
I give you credit for still doing the reviews and podcast on top of everything else you've got going. I appreciate the effort!
(And I agree with Tom that you don't need to apologize so much for rambling. It is your podcast; say what you want to say, with no worries about apologies for content.)
